How should malfunctions in electric butterfly valves be handled?

How can electric butterfly valve malfunctions be resolved? Here are some key points to consider during maintenance:
1. Before installation, verify that the product specifications and the flow direction arrow align with the actual operating conditions. Thoroughly clean the valve's internal cavity; ensure no foreign matter or debris adheres to the sealing ring or butterfly plate. Do not close the butterfly plate before cleaning, as this could damage the sealing ring.
2. It is recommended to use flanges specifically designed for butterfly valves when installing the unit.
3. Regarding the installation position in the pipeline, a vertical orientation is ideal; inverted installation is not permitted.
4. If flow rate adjustment is required during operation, the valve is controlled via a pneumatic actuator.
5. For manually operated butterfly valves subject to frequent opening and closing, open the worm gear housing cover approximately every two months to check the condition of the grease and ensure an adequate amount is maintained.
6. Inspect all connection points to ensure they are properly tightened; this guarantees the integrity of the packing seal while allowing the valve stem to rotate smoothly.
7. Metal-seated electric butterfly valves are not suitable for installation at the end of a pipeline. If such installation is unavoidable, an outlet flange must be fitted to prevent the sealing ring from being crushed or over-traveling.
8. After installation and during use, periodically check the valve's performance and promptly rectify any malfunctions that arise.
