Different pipe diameter standards and different thread standards

Different pipe diameter standards

DIN (German Industrial Standards): The DIN standard typically uses DN (Diamètre nominal, French for "nominal diameter") to denote pipe diameters.

ANSI (American National Standards Institute): The ANSI standard uses inches (") to indicate pipe diameters.

JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards): The dimensions of the JIS standard are similar to those of the DIN standard but may have some slight differences.

Different thread standards

NPT (National Pipe Thread): NPT is the 60-degree tapered pipe thread standard in the United States, primarily used in the United States and North America.

BSPT (British Standard Pipe Thread): BSPT is the 55-degree sealing tapered pipe thread standard in the United Kingdom, primarily used in Europe and the United Kingdom. Both are tapered and can be used for sealing, but due to the differences in the thread angle and form, NPT and BSPT threads are not compatible and cannot be directly connected.
