The difference between a V-Ball and a Full Ball

V-Regulating Ball Valve:
Design: The ball body of the V-shaped regulating ball valve is V-shaped, which is used to realize the linear adjustment of the fluid so that the flow rate of the fluid is linearly related to the opening.
Advantages: good fluid characteristics, good throttling performance, good sealing, good corrosion resistance, and high reliability.
Disadvantages: large dead zone, large pressure loss, large opening and closing torque.
Application scenarios: It is suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure media control, high-precision flow control, corrosive media control, gas control, etc.

Full Ball Valve:
Design: The opening and closing part of the full round ball valve is a ball, which is opened and closed by rotating the ball by rotating the ball around the axis of the valve stem by 90°.
Advantages: lowest flow resistance, reliable application to corrosive media and low boiling point liquids, complete sealing, fast opening and closing, automatic positioning, reliable double-sided sealing, preventing sealing surface erosion, compact structure, lightweight, symmetrical valve body structure, high pressure differential capacity, long service life.
Application scenario: It is widely used in pipeline systems that need to cut, distribute and change the direction of medium flow, suitable for corrosive media and low-boiling liquids, such as chemical, petrochemical, and other industries, and also suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature systems, such as oil and gas transmission pipelines, as well as automation systems.
In general, V-type ball valves and full-round ball valves have their own unique characteristics and application scenarios. V-ball valves are more suitable for applications that require precise flow control and corrosion resistance, while full-round ball valves are suitable for a wide range of industrial piping systems due to their low flow resistance and fast opening and closing.
