CNPC Engineering Construction Wins Bid For UAE West-East Pipeline Project

China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Company Limited (CPECC) has received the award letter for Sections 2 and 3 of the West-East Pipeline (WEP) project in the United Arab Emirates. This is another milestone project for CPECC in the large-diameter long-distance pipeline business in the high-end Middle East market since the successful delivery of the Abu Dhabi crude oil pipeline project 12 years ago.

 

The owner of the project is Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Onshore (ADNOC Onshore) of UAE, and the project plans two crude oil operation modes, 75 million tons/year and 40 million tons/year, respectively, for transporting three types of offshore crude oil. the ADNOC Technical Center is responsible for the FEED design of the pipeline and ancillary facilities and has assigned the seven difficult topics to the CPECC Beijing Branch, including the design and construction of the pipeline.
